The women's club volleyball team attended The University of Connecticut's tournament this past weekend. Sacred Heart was one of 4 teams in attendance, including Boston College, Quinnipiac University, and Dartmouth College. Boston College ended up winning the entire tournament while the Pioneers stood strong against some very tough opponents!
Here are some comments from the Women's club volleyball team after the tournament…
"I think this tournament was a really great way for us to break into the season and start familiarizing ourselves with each other on the court. I loved how positive and encouraging everyone was toward one another on the court. When someone made a mistake there were never any negative remarks made toward them, only positive ways to improve and move past the error." - Sophia Rogers, Fr., MB
"This weekend was a great icebreaker to get us comfortable playing with each other and it can only go up from here!" -
Olivia McGrath, Soph., OH
"This tournament was a great opportunity to mesh as a whole and really put our skills to the test. I loved being back on the court competing with my teammates." - Charlie Paul, Jr, setter
"At the UConn tournament, I felt that we played well as a team for our first tournament of the season. It was a little bumpy in the beginning but as the day went on, we played well together. Playing on the court with and watching Jackie Hill play - she killed it and stepped up with all or nothing! " -
Julia Palermo, Jr., Libero
Women's Club Volleyball's next match is November 6th against Providence College!
