Club Football Shuts Out Clarkson

Pioneers Defeat Golden Knights 49-0

Fairfield, CT – The Club Football team hosted Clarkson University this past weekend, after their scheduled bye week, in the first North Atlantic conference tilt of the season. The Golden Knights, having defeated UVM twice this season, came in with momentum ready to take on the Preseason North Atlantic Conference favorite.
 
The Pioneers dominated the afternoon, allowing the Golden Knights little offense opportunities while they were able to move down the field consistently. The team was lead by captain David DePalma who had 2 rushing touchdowns on the day on only 4 carries. He finished with 29 yards rushing. Other notable offensive players are below:

Rob Dacosta: 73 yards on 8 carries (9.13 average)
Trevor Annicharico: 33 yards on 4 carries (8.25 average), TD
Thomas Hurley: 58 yards on 6 carries (9.67 average)

The Pioneers will host NCFA Opponent University of Pittsburgh on November 5th at home. Kickoff is slated for 1 pm.
