History was made on Sunday night as Sacred Heart University Men's AAU D3 claimed its first program victory with an impressive 8-4 win over Yeshiva University.
Sacred Heart's offense was unstoppable, led by standout forward Benjamin Bajzath, who notched a goal and three assists. Bajzath has quickly emerged as the team's leading scorer, amassing eight points (three goals, five assists) in just three games. The game also saw Wyatt Shea, Scott Podstupka, Drew Scalice, and Kennedy Bleau record their first collegiate goals, showcasing the team's depth and bright future.
The offensive surge began with Scalice opening the scoring in the first period at 10:12. Sacred Heart turned up the pressure in the second period, adding four more goals, including strikes from Ouellette, Bleau, and Shea. The momentum continued in the third period with goals from Letizia, Podstupka, and Bajzath sealing the victory. Sacred Heart dominated the game, outshooting Yeshiva 67-29. Goaltenders Tyler Armagan and Jaiden Cavallo delivered a strong performance, making crucial saves to secure the team's first win. While Bajzath continues to lead the team in scoring, Timothee Ouellette and Benjamin Hepler are both tied for second in team scoring with four points (two goals, two assists) across three games.

Now with a 1-2 record, the team will return to the ice on February 8th to face Stevens Institute of Technology.
