The Sacred Heart Women's Club Basketball Team went 3-0 over the weekend. The Pioneers won two key league games at Fairfield on Friday night. Sacred Heart won game one 41-31. The Pioneers were led by Taylor Gibbs with 17 points, Elizabeth Gonzalez with 9, Alexa Medley with 5, Alyssa Alfieri with 4, and Kyleigh Short with 3.

The Pioneers won game two 33-31 in overtime. Carloyn Frankle's basket with 5 seconds left sent the game into overtime. The Pioneers were led by Taylor Gibbs with 12 points, Carolyn Frankle with 9, Liz Gonzalez and Dayna Mercogliano with 5 points each, and Elizabeth Portelli with 2 points.

On Saturday Sacred Heart hosted Adelphi and won 62-16. The Pioneers were led by Lillian Gentile with 10 points, Carolyn Frankle, Taylor Gibbs and Skyler Felice with 6 points each, Ava Ruggiero and Shea Bertolacci with 5 points each, Alyssa Alfieri with 4 points, Elizabeth Gonzalez with 3 points, and Grace Venezia, Alexa Medley, Dayna Mercogliano, and Laurin Carbonneau each had 3 points.

Sacred Heart improves to 8-0 in league play and 14-1 overall. The Pioneers travel to Montclair State University on Sunday for two games starting at 11:30 am.
