Round Rock, TX- Sacred Heart Women's Club Lacrosse team headed down to Texas to compete in the National Championship tournament. The Tournament was held from Wednesday May 8th to Saturday May 11th. There was a total of 8 teams that traveled down to compete in the tournament. (Loyola, Grand Valley, Fairfield,
Fordham, Sacred Heart,
Towson, Oakland, St. Thomas). The Pioneers played three games while they were at the tournament.
The pioneers played their first game against Grand Valley on Thursday May 9th. The Pioneers started off well gaining
possession and keeping the ball on the offensive end for ninety percent of the time in the first half. As the second half of the game went on, the pioneers struggled to keep the grand valley offense at bay leading them to come up short with a 17-0 loss.
The pioneers play again on Thursday at 4pm against Oakland. The pioneers had a tremendous comeback winning against Oakland 10-2. Junior
Amanda Beberman leads the pioneers with one goal and 3 assists. The pioneers shared the wealth when it came to scoring.
Kate Shea made her mark this game with two points for the Freshmen. Georgia

The pioneers played their final game of the tournament on Friday, playing against Fordham who they played in the regular season. This game was a true fight with it going back and forth with goals all game. Sacred Heart Standouts:
