On Sunday, November 16th, the Sacred Heart Club Gymnastics team opened their 2025-2026 season with a home meet at GCA in Fairfield! Sacred Heart competed two XCEL Diamond teams, going up against gymnasts from the University of Connecticut, University of Massachusetts, and Assumption College. Both teams had a strong showing, earning team scores of 107.45 and 109.8. 

This meet also held special meaning as we honored the life of Melanie Coleman, a gymnast who was lost far too soon. SHU Gymnastics also wore purple bows to raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis, a cause that directly impacts several members of the team. We are so proud of our gymnasts' incredible start to the season and look forward to the growth and excitement ahead!
