About Us

The Women's Club Softball program at Sacred Heart will begin its 15th season as a club sport in the 2023-2024 academic year.  As of the 2021-2022 academic school year a second team was added, the first school in the country to have two teams participate in the NCSA at the same school.

Both teams are very competitive and made up of as many as 25 women who are on the official NCSA Roster. 

Both D1 and D2 are members of the National Club Softball Association (NCSA) which consists of 110+ teams throughout the country. Division 1 plays University of Connecitcut, Providence College, Fordham University, and Quinnipiac University in the New England-South Conference.

Each team plays opponents in 3 game series throughout the fall and spring semesters. We will also play in many non-conference games and frequently take a trip down to Wilmington, Delaware to compete in the First State Showdown tournament, where D1 won in the Fall of 2022.

D1 has made 8 appearances in the Regionals Tournament located in Danville, PA where each Regional Champion & Runner-Up will move onto the NCSA World Series. The team made the NCSA College World Series for the fourth time in May 2023, and is hopeful to make it for a fifth time in May 2024.
