The Sacred Heart Women's Club Soccer team is a diverse group of students who share a similar interest and love for soccer. The players on the team, along with the coach, create a competitive team that plays against other colleges and universities in Connecticut and New England. They participate in the Region 1 Connecticut Conference in the NIRSA Soccer Championship League.Â
The women's team was formed in the late 2000s when the Club Sports department was formed. The team participates in the fall and spring seasons. The fall season requires the team to play no more than 10 games within the division, with postseason play available if qualified. The spring season typically consist of 5 to 10 games, depending on the year. The team practices 3 nights a week, with games on the weekend. The team practices and plays all their home games at Park Ave Field, located next to the Frank & Marisa Martire Center for Liberal Arts. Most recently, the team qualified for regionals in the fall of 2022 season.Â
