Nov. 11 vs. BryantÂ
D2 hockey dropped a close one on Friday to split their series with Bryant University. The Pioneers got off to a slow start out the gate going down 3-0 within the first 10 min of the game, but sophomoreÂ
Christos Caminis answered with 2 goals in 8 min before the first intermission to bring the pioneers within one. The second period was a defensive battle with Bryant getting the only goal in that period. Heading into the third period the pioneers were down 4-2, before junior
Troy Clement scored the first goal of his SHU career just 18 seconds into the period. After that goal SHU had all the momentum which led to
Christos Caminis scoring his third of the game for his first collegiate hat trick to knot the game at 4. 8 different pioneers recorded a point with 3 having multi point performances. The pioneers fell just short of a victory losing a back and forth game 5-4.Â
This also marked the pioneers last game at their long time home Wonderland of Ice. Next stopâĤ Martire Family Arena in January.Â

Nov. 12 vs. Keene State
D2 hockey traveled to New Hampshire and pulled out what might be one of the biggest victories of the season against a tough Keene State squad. Sacred Heart hit the ground running, knowing the importance of this game, going up 2-0 before the halfway mark of the first period. The first goal was scored by sophomore
Christos Caminis off of a rip, which got the pioneers rolling. Shortly after the first goal, freshman Max Brown scored off a one timer from the slot to make it 2-0 which was the score heading to the second. In the second, Keene State scored a powerplay goal to cut the lead to one, but the pioneer's solid defensive play helped keep the lead heading into the third period. In the third, the pioneers kept their defensive play in check which led
Christos Caminis to put another one in the back of the net to put the pioneers up 3-1, also adding to his weekend goal total of 5. Although the pioneers let one up with 20 seconds left in the game they walked away with a huge 3-2 win.Â

That wraps up the pioneers schedule pre Thanksgiving. When they come back from the holiday break, they close out the semester with games against Marist College and the University of New Hampshire, before winter break. Â
