About Us - Baseball

The Sacred Heart Club Baseball team is a member of the NCBA (National Club Baseball Association) and currently competes in the leagues Division 1 North Atlantic Conference.  

The Pioneers play both a fall and spring season where they compete against different universities around the Northeast and Metropolitan area. Conference opponents include: Boston College, New Hampshire, Northeastern, UMass, and UConn. 

The Pioneers practice and play all home games at Veterans Field at Veterans Memorial Park in Bridgeport, CT. Veterans Field is home to both the Pioneers Division 1 and Club Baseball teams. The facility features enclosed dugouts, an open back stop, both home and away bullpens and a 4 tunnel batting cage. 

The team practices three times a week during the weekdays and compete in games on the weekends with doubleheaders on Saturday and a 9-inning game on Sunday. Typically the team plays roughly anywhere between 20-30 games throughout the fall and spring seasons with an opportunity for postseason play depending on performance.
