This past Sunday, January 15th, the Sacred Heart Men's bowling team kicked off the season at the Vikings
Classic at Schneider's Fishkill Lanes, in Fishkill New York.  

Bowlers representing 6 college programs and universities took part in the competition.  

Sacred Heart came in 2nd place knocking down 5,467 pins in the 7 games.  Individually, John Heinze tied for 2nd singles with a 188 average.  In doubles, Anthony Alison and partner Alex Besnilian came in third with a series of 1059 good for a 176.5 average. 

Both John Heinze and Anthony Alison made the all-tournament team.

Overall the Pioneers performed well in their first tournament and are eager to improve. Their next outing is Saturday, January 21st at Spins Carmel, for the Blue and Orange Classic.
