Fairfield, CT - Sacred Heart Men's Club Soccer opens season against Army with a 2-0 loss. The loss came after a back and forth battle between the two teams in the first 15 minutes, then an unfortunate tackle led to a free kick goal in the 23rd minute. A few minutes later Army gets a penalty kick and goes up 2-0. The Pioneers defense kept their heads high and continued to keep a strong back line.

Sacred Heart's back line dominated the second half run by Alex Arrubla, Dylan Johnson, Roan Sullivan, Cooper Burdette and Francesco Vesci allowing only 2 shots the entire half. The Pioneers come back strong this week with the Fairfield Darby match vs Fairfield University Friday September 20th with a 6:00 pm kickoff at Rafferty Stadium.
