Fairfield, CT - Sacred Heart Men's Club Soccer were on the road Friday night vs Fairfield University with tensions high for the rivalry match. Sacred Heart starts the game strong with high pressing and lots of possession but Fairfield strikes back. Their high press put lots of pressure on the Pioneer's defense but they were able to fight back. A very chippy game led to multiple yellow cards and lots of strong gameplay between the two teams. Justin Alves and Gregorio Espinoza put up a battle in the midfield dominating it and leading the team on its attacks. The Pioneers ended the game with a 0-0 draw and prepared for a home game vs New Haven that Sunday.
