The SHU Women's Club volleyball team finished third in their second Fall tournament this past weekend at CCSU. SHU came out strong and easily defeated Bentley in two sets. Great serves held off the Bentley offense. Against UConn, SHU was impressive and challenged the 2024-25 Conference Champions in the first set, falling only by two points. The squad fell in set #2, but carried the momentum into their final pool match, defeating New Haven in two sets. 

SHU made it out of pool play sitting in second place and faced home team CCSU in the quarter-finals. At one point, SHU was down 12 points, but they rallied and won the set, 25-22 to advance to the semi-finals against Tufts, the current #1 team in the East Division of the NWVCL Conference. The teams split the first two sets forcing a tie-breaker where SHU fell by two points to end their day. 

Overall, the team played solid all day, proving that they can compete at the highest level in the Northeast. The team did a great job at the net with great blocking and spreading out the offense. They have one more tournament remaining to round out their Fall schedule and will play on Saturday, 11/8 at the University of New Haven
