Sacred Heart Club Baseball D2 Sweeps Central Series

Game 1, 
McSpedon collected three hits in three at bats, as Sacred Heart Club Baseball D2 defeated CCSU Club Baseball 25-26 13-1 on Saturday at 85 Eckart St. McSpedon singled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the third inning. Sacred Heart Club Baseball D2 opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to three singles. Sacred Heart Club Baseball D2 first got on the board when Scerbak singled, scoring one run. A triple by Marano, and a sacrifice fly by Sendrowski helped Sacred Heart Club Baseball D2 extend their early lead in the second.
Sacred Heart Club Baseball D2 added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Casani scored after tagging up, and Amador singled to center field, each scoring one run.

Sacred Heart Club Baseball D2 added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after McSpedon hit a sacrifice fly, Norton tripled down the left field line, and Sacred Heart Club Baseball D2 scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run. Sacred Heart Club Baseball D2 added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Sendrowski singled down the left field line, McSpedon singled down the left field line, Blasi hit a sacrifice fly, and Marano singled to right field, each scoring one run.

The reliever gave up one hit, striking out none and walking one. Sacred Heart Club Baseball D2 collected 16 hits in the game. Norton drove the middle of the lineup, leading Sacred Heart Club Baseball D2 with three runs batted in. A single by Amador put Sacred Heart Club Baseball D2 on the board in the bottom of the first. Rieger earned the win for Sacred Heart Club Baseball D2. The starter gave up zero hits and zero runs over two and one-third innings, striking out five and walking none. Cromwell took the loss for CCSU Club Baseball 25-26. The righty went four and two-thirds innings, allowing 11 runs on 11 hits, striking out three and walking four. Scura appeared in relief for Sacred Heart Club Baseball D2. Sacred Heart Club Baseball D2 piled up 11 hits in the game. Blasi, Amador, and McGovern each collected two hits for Sacred Heart Club Baseball D2. Petruzzo led Sacred Heart Club Baseball D2 with three runs batted in.
