The Sacred Heart D1 Club softball team hosted the University of Rhode Island on Sunday for a 3-game conference series. They ended the day with a 3-game sweep, winning the games 5-1, 14-6, and 6-4.
Kendall McNamara had a quality pitching performance in game one with a stat line of 7 innings pitched, six strikeouts, and just one earned run.
Caitlin Ciccone was the biggest hitter of the day going 7 for 10 with 3 doubles, 2 walks, and one run batted in.

Grace Warner, and Ali Landry were all honored. Below are the career stats of these five seniors who were apart of 3 regional championships and final placements at Nationals of 11th, 7th, and 4

Ali has a career batting average of .304 including 34 hits, 3 doubles, 15 walks, 15 RBIs, 27 runs scored and 4 stolen bases. She also has 5 career games played at pitcher.
Hailey has a career batting average of .335 including 56 hits, 16 doubles, 3 triples, 1 home run (in a regional playoff game), 19 walks, 33 RBI's, and 48 runs scored.
Liv has a career batting average of .386 including 85 hits (likely would have reached 100 with a 4th year), 28 doubles, 8 triples, 10 home runs (including a walk off HR to win a fall tournament championship game) , 17 walks, 90 RBIs, 66 runs scored and 3 stolen bases.
Mikayla has a career batting average of .329 including 57 hits (including a walk off hit in a regional playoff game to send the team to nationals) , 2 doubles, 1 triple, 31 walks, 30 RBIs, 64 runs scored, and 12 stolen bases.
Grace has a career batting average of .444 including 100!! hits, 33 doubles, 10 triples, 1 home run, 13 walks, 80 RBIs, 63 runs scored and 9 stolen bases.
The team will conclude their season with a double header on April 11
th at northeastern, and a home double header against Quinnipiac on April 19
th.
