Chad Schneider got the Pioneers on the board with a goal that was assisted by sophomore
Christos Caminis and senior Zach Ouladelhadjahmed. The defense was able to lock down the Hawks before picking up an insurance goal from freshman
Maxwell Brown, the first of his career at SHU. The Pioneers didn't let up the rest of the game, keeping most of the pressure on the Hawks end of the ice. Caminis sealed the deal in the final minute with an empty net goal, giving another Pioneer the first of their career. Junior
Corey Splaine picked up his first win and shut out of the season behind a solid 35 save performance. The Pioneers look to face Central Connecticut State (CCSU) on the road on Saturday October 15 at 8:15pm, trying to keep the ball rolling.
