Club Softball Red invited Hofstra University to campus this past Saturday, while also celebrating their seniors. The ceremony took place right before the first game, providing the seniors an opportunity to be cheered on by teammates and take a picture with Head Coach
Ray Mencio and Associate Head Coach Mike Twerago.
All seniors started the first game together, and did as follows on the day:
Kristina Constantino was 4-4 with 2 doubles, five runs batted in, and three runs scored.
Maggie Coffin was 5-7 with two home runs, four runs batted in, and three runs scored while also winning Conference Player of the Week.
Payton Raftery-Smith was 2-2 with two walks and six runs scored.
Kassidy Pratt was 2-5 with two walks, two runs batted in, and three runs scored.
Rebecca Del Toro had 3 walks, with a run batted in and a run scored.
Caroline Faraday was 2-5 with a triple, three runs batted in and a run scored.
Victoria Demercurio pitched a complete game, giving up only one hit and striking out eight in four innings.
5th year Senior Hailey King was honored in between the first and second games by having her number 32 retired. This is the first number retirement in Club Softball's 14 year existence at Sacred Heart University. She was 5-6 with a home run, a walk, five runs batted in, and four runs scored.

Kylie McNamara pitched a perfect game in the second game of the series, winning her not only Conference Player of the Week but National Player of the Week as well!
Club Softball Red swept Hofstra in the three game series, outscoring them 42-0. They will look to stay undefeated and attempt to clinch their conference, giving them an automatic bid to regionals, this upcoming weekend with a three game series against both Club Softball White and University of New Haven.
