The team also dedicated the weekend to Pancreatic Cancer awareness and a fellow teammate as their mother recently passed away due to the disease. A ceremony was held prior to the Saturday games that allowed the team to speak about the foundation all donations would be going to and also take the time to honor their teammate and her mother by bringing her on to the field and holding a moment of silence. All donations received from fans purchasing bracelets and raffle tickets will be going straight to Project Purple. Project Purple is a non-profit organization empowering the fight against pancreatic cancer. Their commitment is fueled by the pursuit of raising awareness, driving crucial research and providing aid for patients who are battling this disease.
The team finishes the fall 7-2 in conference play and looks forward to their home series versus Quinnipiac University in the spring.
