The 2024 Fairfield County Chess Championship, sponsored and organized by the Connecticut State Chess Association (CSCA), was held in Norwalk on December 7th. The tournament featured a very strong Open section as well as sections for ratings U2000, U1400, and U800.

SHU senior, Brent McCreesh, was the top finisher for SHU in the U2000 section in a tie for 3rd-5th.
