D1 Club Softball traveled to Glenns Falls, NY this past weekend to compete in the New England Regional Tournament. After winning their first game against Cornell University, they lost to Vermont in 9 innings which forced them into a win or go home game against SUNY Courtland. The pioneers won 6-1 which not only sent them to nationals but gave them a chance to play for the Regional Title against Vermont the following day.
SHU proceeded to beat Vermont twice in as many games, propelling themselves from second to first place and handing them their second regional title in a row.
They will now travel to Columbus, Georgia for Nationals where they will face Air Force Academy, Michigan State, and Boise State in Pool Play.

Freshman
Grace Scrima went 9-14 on the weekend with 6 runs scored, 9 runs batted in, 4 walks, 2 doubles, and a homerun.
Sophomore
Grace Warner went 9-17 with 3 runs scored, 6 runs batted in and 3 doubles.
Sophomore Captain Olivia Salveggi registered 6 hits, scoring 3 runs with 7 runs batted in and a homerun.
Captain Kassidy Pratt went 8-18, scoring 6 runs and 3 runs batted in.
Hailey King and Emily Cooper both registered 5 hits.
Senior Captain Kylie McNamara pitched for 3 wins over the weekend, with 22 innings pitched, 14 strikeouts and just 2 walks.
Sophomore
Catherine Meyers registered 1 win over 14 innings pitched with only 4 runs allowed.
