Fairfield, CT - Sacred Heart University's White Team took on Hofstra University this last weekend. The team went 2-1, outscoring Hofstra 31-24. The first game was pitched by Macie Phillips who recorded the win with four strikeouts. Third baseman Samantha Valentine and  shortstop Mikayla Tucci both recorded three hits out of four at-bats. Valentine had two RBI's and Tucci had one. The Pios won 11-7. 

SHU beat Hofstra 10-0 in the second game, with freshman pitcher Lauren Cote pitching. She recorded the win while also going two-for-two with one RBI. Freshman Olivia Bamford also went two-for-two with one RBI. 

The last game the Pioneers fell short to Hofstra 17-10. Samantha Valentine and Paige Lemongello put up two hits and two RBI's each.
