SHU D2 delivered a strong performance on both sides of the ball, earning a doubleheader sweep behind timely hitting and solid defense.

During Game 1 SHU edged out Fairfield in a close game, scoring consistently and capitalizing on key opportunities. Clutch hitting and aggressive baserunning made the difference, while the defense held firm late to secure the two-run victory.

SHU D2's offense stayed hot in game two, putting up runs across multiple innings. The lineup produced throughout, with Jill (3-8 1RBI 2 runs), Taylor (1-4 1RBI 2 runs), Sophia (6-8 1RBI 2 runs), Julia (4-7 3 runs), Danica (2-6 1RBI 1 run), and Amanda (3-7 2RBI's 4 runs) contributing key hits. Defensively, SHU D2 made the necessary plays to maintain control and close out the sweep.

SHU D2 combined for multiple extra-base hits and timely RBIs across both games, while consistent defense and smart baserunning helped maintain momentum throughout the day. 

Between Game 1 and 2 we honored our seniors Lauren Kampersal, Emma Czerniewski, and Mackenzie Milbury. Lauren played 3rd base both games with 2 doubles and a single scoring 3 runs for the day with 2 RBI's. Emma pitched a complete game for game 1 earning the win with 7 strike outs and 6 earned runs. Mackenzie played 1st base during game 1 scoring 2 runs.
