Women's Basketball Sweeps Conference Series Versus Yale

The Sacred Heart Women's Club Basketball team opened league play with two wins on Saturday against Yale. The Pioneers won game one 60-44. The team was led by Liz Gonzalez with 12 points and 7 rebounds, Carolyn Frankle with 10 points and 4 assists, Taylor Gibbs with 9 points and 6 rebounds, Alexa Medley with 8 points and 5 assists, Sarah Rivera with 6 points and Alyssa Alfieri with 4 points.

Sacred Heart won game two 54-34. The Pioneers were lead by Taylor Gibbs with 19 points and 9 rebounds, Liz Portelli with 9 points and 3 assists, Grace Venezia with 6 points, and Shea Bertolacci and Skyler Felice with 4 points each.

Sacred Heart improves to 7-1 on the season and wraps up the first semester on Saturday with a doubleheader vs. Stonehill College.
