The Sacred Heart Women's Club Basketball team competed in the National Tournament this past weekend in Erie, Pa. Sacred Heart won their quarterfinal game against Penn West-Edinboro 69-51. The Pioneers were led by Taylor Gibbs with 15 points, Liz Portelli with 11, Gracie Patriarco with 9, Rebecca Kelly had 8, Lily Gentile with 6, Grace Venezia and Natalia Zappone with 5, Carolyn Frankle and Faith Erasmo had 4 and Nicole Turco had 2 points.

Sacred Heart advanced to the semi-finals and lost to Michigan State 60-45. Sacred Heart was led by Natalia Zappone with 17 points, Faith Erasmo with 7, Taylor Gibbs and Gracie Patriarco each had 5, Rebecca Kelly and Grace Venezia with 4 points each and Carolyn Frankle had 3 points.

The Pioneers finish the season 16-3.
