The Sacred Heart Women's Club Basketball team opened league play with two wins at Wesleyan on Sunday. The Pioneers won game one 56-19. Rebecca Kelly led the team with 8 points, Lily Gentile and Natalia Zappone each had 7, Liz Gonzalez had 6 points, Dayna Mercogliano, Faith Erasmo, Gracie Patriarco, and Carolyn Frankle with 5 points, and Taylor Gibbs and Liz Portelli each had 4 points.

Sacred Heart won game two 62-22. The Pioneers were led by Taylor Gibbs with 12 points, Dayna Mercogliano with 8, Rebecca Kelly, Liz Portelli, and Natalia Zappone each had 7, Nicole Grecco had 6 points, Carolyn Frankle had 5 points, Gracie Patriarco and Faith Erasmo each had 4 points, and Lily Gentile and Liz Gonzalez each had 2 points.

Sacred Heart improves to 3-0 on the season and has their home opener at noon on Saturday vs. Brown.
