The Sacred Heart Women's Club Basketball team, split two league games on Saturday against Providence College. The Lady Friars won game one 64-57. Sacred Heart was led by Elizabeth Gonzalex with 17 points, Elizabeth Portelli with 11, Taylor Gibbs with 10, Dayna Mercogliano with 8 Ava Rugierro and Carolyn Frankle with 5 each and Lillian Gentile and Alyssa Alfieri each had 2 points apiece 

Sacred Heart bounced back to win game two 54-34. The Pioneers were led by Elizabeth Gonzalez and Alyssa Alfieri with 13 points each, Carolyn Frankle with 9, Elizabeth Portelli with 6, Lillian Gentile 5, Taylor Gibbs with 4 and Dayna Mercogliano and Skyler Felice each had 2.

The Pioneers move to 9-1 in league play and 16-3 overall. Sacred Heart will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Providence, RI to square off against Brown University in a two game match-up with tip-off is set for 1pm.
