The Sacred Heart Women's Club Basketball Team opened the second semester with two roads wins at Yale on Sunday. The Pioneers won game one 69-28 and were led by Taylor Gibbs with 12 points, Natalia Zappone with 11, Carolyn Frankle with 10, Dayna Mercogliano with 7, Lily Gentile and Rebecca Kelly with 6 points each, Gracie Patriarco and Faith Erasmo with 4 points each, and Ashley Tarello, Liz Portelli, Nicole Turco, and Rina Damon each had two points.

Sacred Heart won game two 59-34. The Pioneers were led by Taylor Gibbs and Natalia Zappone each had 9 points, Carolyn Frankle had 8, Dayna Mercogliano with 7, Liz Portelli with 6, Lily Gentile with Rebecca Kelly and Faith Erasmo with 3 points, and Gracie Patriarco and Grace Venezia each had two points.

Sacred Heart improves to 7-0 on the season, 5-0 in league play and plays home vs UCONN on Saturday. The first game tips at 12 pm.
