Game one
Sacred Heart Club Baseball fell 11-9 to UConn Club Baseball in Game one of Saturday's doubleheader despite out hitting the Huskies nine to six.Â
Freshman
Andrew Civetta collected four hits in four at bats with a single in the first, third, and fourth inning, along with a double in the sixth inning. Senior Colin Corrigan led SHU with three walks. Â
Game two
Sacred Heart couldn't keep up with UConn dropping the final game of their doubleheader. The Pioneers got on the board early in the bottom of the first inning after Junior
Thomas Kenn walked, and Freshman
Michael Civetta was struck by a pitch, each scoring one run. The Pioneers however, we're unable to get any production at the plate as they were no hit by a trio of UConn pitchers.Â
The Pioneers are back in action this weekend as they travel to cross town rival Fairfield University for a single game on Sunday November 5th at Alumni Diamond. First pitch is slated for 11am.Â
