The Sacred Heart Women's Club Basketball team improved to 9-0 and 8-0 in league play with two wins against UCONN on Saturday. The Pioneers won game one 62-29. SHU was led by Taylor Gibbs with 12 points, Elizabeth Portelli with 11 points, Dayna Mercogliano and Carolyn Frankle with 7 points each, Faith Erasmo with 6 points, Nicole Turco with 5 points, Lillian Gentile and Natalia Zappone and Gracie Patriarco had 4 points, and Rebecca Kelly has 2 points.

Sacred Heart won game two 68-54. The Pioneers were led by Elizabeth Portelli with 14 points, Taylor Gibbs with 13 points, Carolyn Frankle with 11 points, Faith Erasmo with 8 points, Lillian Gentile with 6 points, Rina Damon, Rebecca Kelly,  and Gracie Patriarco with 4 points, and Krista Perry and Nicole Turco each had 2.

Sacred Heart plays at home on Saturday February 1^st against Fairfield. First game tips at 12 pm.
