The Sacred Heart University NCBA Division III club baseball team delivered an impressive showing this weekend, sweeping Iona University in back-to-back games with commanding scores of 12–0 and 18–1. The Pioneers' offense was firing on all cylinders, while their pitching and defense held Iona to just one total run across both games. In the first game, Sacred Heart's lineup showed balance and consistency from top to bottom. Justin DiGiovanna led the charge with two hits and two RBIs, while Patrick Hefner and Sean Reilly each added clutch RBIs of their own.  Dylan Casani continued to impress at the plate, scoring twice and driving in two runs of his own. Aaron Ariza and Matt Mancini each contributed hits, helping to keep the Pioneers' momentum rolling through the middle innings. The second game was even more one-sided, as the Pioneers exploded for 18 runs—showcasing their depth and patience at the plate. Players like Frankie Fressle and Matthew Fasulo added quality at-bats and got on base multiple times, while the team totaled seven hits and six RBIs from singles alone. With the sweep, Sacred Heart improves its early fall record and continues to build momentum heading into the next stretch of the NCBA D3 season. The team's balanced offense, plate discipline, and solid defense have established them as a force to watch this year.
