The Sacred Heart University Women's Club Hockey team had a successful home weekend, securing two big IWCHL league wins on the ice. On Saturday, January 27, the team faced off against Holy Cross and dominated with a commanding 13-4 win. The scoring frenzy featured goals from
Meghan Foley, Sam Henchcliffe,
Alexandria Yost,
Nicole Partridge,
Tori Hayes,
Paige Brucker,
Martine Van Aarem, and
Madelyn Zareski. The team showcased their offensive power throughout the game, establishing a lead early on and maintaining their dominance until the final buzzer.

The momentum carried into Sunday's game on January 28, where the Pioneers faced a tough challenge against the University of New Hampshire. In an exciting back and forth match-up, the team emerged victorious with a 4-3 win. Freshman
Tori Hayes notched 2 goals for the Pioneers and
Meghan Foley and
Michelle McCabe scored the other two.Â
Angelina Catino played strong in the net making 39 saves against the Wildcats. Â
The Pioneers will head back on the road next weekend for another league game against Providence on Sunday, February 4 at 6 pm.
