SHU Club Women's Hockey Dominates Army in 16-5 Victory

The Sacred Heart University Club Women's Hockey team delivered a powerhouse performance this weekend, overwhelming Army with a staggering 16–5 victory. From the opening puck drop, SHU controlled the pace, showing relentless offensive pressure and strong team chemistry in every shift.

One of the biggest highlights of the night came from freshman Mackenzie Ketchow, who had a breakout performance to remember. Not only did she score her first career goal, but she went on to complete an impressive hat trick, cementing her mark on the game and energizing the entire bench.

The scoring effort didn't stop there, as SHU's offense came in waves. Line after line contributed to the scoreboard, showcasing the team's depth and determination. The defense held strong and transitioned the puck effectively, creating numerous scoring chances while limiting Army's opportunities.

Coaches and teammates alike praised the team's focus and execution, emphasizing how this win reflects the growth and momentum building within the program.

With a dominant 16–5 final, SHU sets the tone for the rest of the season and proves they're a force to be reckoned with. The confidence from this standout performance—especially from rising talents like Ketchow—will fuel the team as they prepare for their next matchup.
